Beginners Class
This class is for dogs which have had little
or no training and for puppies which have
had all their vaccinations (C5) - usually
about 16 weeks of age. If you have a younger
puppy, or one who has not yet all his "needles",
we recommend you enroll him at a Puppy Pre-school
class. Talk to one of our Instructors for more information. We will show you how
to prepare your dog for further training,
and you will learn how to teach him
basic
behaviours.
This class is an 8 week course on how to
teach him all the foundation behaviours required
of a well-adjusted, obedient canine companion.
In this class you will be taught to
teach
your dog how to:
- Walk on a loose lead
- Calming techniques
- Watch (Attention)
- Come
- Drop
- Sit & Greet
- Basic tricks
- Stay
You will then graduate into "Intermediate"
Class

Trial Class
Commences at 8:00 pm
We are affiliated with the North Australian Canine Association Inc and what this means, in a nutshell, is that
our Club is able to hold sanctioned events,
such as obedience trials, agility & jumping
trials where competitors can gain qualifications
towards ANKC - recognized titles for your dog. The instruction
you receive at our Club will help you on
your way to successfully compete at these
events, so if this is what you'd like to
do, talk to your instructor about what you
need to do to register yourself and your
dog with the NACA.
At this point too, you can start to learn
about agility - a great competitive sport for you and
your dog to enjoy.
Dogs which are registered with the
North
Australian Canine Association (NACA)
may
compete in championship shows, obedience
and agility trials.
